Welcome to the new "Artist's Circle Of Hell" editorial: a journey through the eyes and thoughts of magnificent Dark Artists.

Today we are delightful to talk with Sydney Paige Richardson... We'll be honoured to show her oniric art for the upcoming "Centuries Decay" exhibition, from September 9 to October 7, 2019.

Author. Photographer. Storyteller. Sydney is a fine art photographer and author using Photoshop and her words to tell stories that have always existed in my dreams. She utilize portrait photography to tell these stories by layering images together to create a dreamy composition. Sydney struggle with depression, anxiety, and night terrors. Despite being an author, sometimes she have a hard time describing how her feelings. So instead of fighting with words, Sydney channel those feelings into art that she can share. Enjoy the interview!

First circle - Limbo

How old is your soul? Do you have an inner child?

I feel I have an old soul that has lived countless lives. But there is still that childlike

wonder about this life. Maybe that is why we can't remember the other ones, so we can still have an

inner child and rejoice in this life?

Second circle - Lust

Before you have reached your artistic path, have you ever instinctively tried different fields that did not appeal to you, just for the sake of it? Are you still in search for your art style?

I think when I was younger, school age, I tried numerous things. Music. Painting.

Drawing. But it wasn't until I got into my late teens/early twenties that I held a camera and realized

I could create new worlds with it. I have always been a writer, and have two books currently

published (the third is out in 2020). That being said, I think my artistic style is ever-changing,

always growing, as I am constantly learning and exploring things now that I am older.

Third circle - Gluttony

How hungry are you for the art, for your passion? How much are you addicted and addicted to it, moving away from your perception of reality?

I can get addicted quickly to editing an image, sitting for hours editing and perfecting it -

even able to sleep until I get it just right. Something I am trying to work on - my limits. Sometimes I

am so passionate about my work I almost feel like I reach an indifference because I have

overindulged in creating. Sometimes taking a step back and breathing is needed in this lifestyle.

Fourth circle - Greed

Sometimes, do you feel greedy with your job? Do you think that a strong attachment to money can compromise your art? No intention to offend, but only to explore what goes beyond being a "starving artist".

I think some might have a perception of a lucrative lifestyle when it comes to artists, but I

have never experienced that large sum of money being handed to me for my art. I don't believe i

would compromise myself, but the curiosity is there, as that's human nature.

Fifth circle - Anger

How you see the Art World today? There are some stuff that make you uncomfortable?

I think art is supposed to make you uncomfortable to some degree. How can we grow and

experience things without feeling uncomfortable? It's a part of life. I don't think I have thought of

the art world as a collective thing, perhaps it's just the world, because art is everything in it.

Sixth circle - Heresy

Have you ever done a project or commission totally different from your kind of art? (for example, as fairy art, erotic art, fantasy art or comic art)

I have done many projects different from conceptual/surreal/fine art photography. I

actually started in portrait and wedding photography, but found it wasn't completing me. I wanted

to dive deeper and create what I saw in my mind.

Seventh circle - Violence

Are you afraid to represent cruel stuff of the reality in your art? If not, it goes beyond the simple visual impact?

Life is hard. The world is cruel, and showing that in art is necessary. I am not afraid to

show create it, but sometimes I fear what others may feel when they see it.

Eighth circle - Fraud

Without naming, have you ever been deceived by a false customer or company? What was your initial feeling? Do you want to give some advice to those who are new in this field? Don't worry if you do not want to answer.

I have never been deceived by a false company. I have had some customers try to haggle

with pricing for weddings, but I stand by my pricing. Photography is work, and I think some people

view it as just pointing a camera and shooting. There is so much more to it than that, so educating

your customers and followers is important.

Ninth circle - Treachery

Would you ever exchange your life as artist with a safer and quieter life? What would you do if you could not make art?

Goodness, no! You can always have art in your life, no matter your lifestyle or path. If for

some reason I could no longer create using photography or writing, I would find another way to

create. Creating is a part of me as much as breathing.
