Welcome to the new "Artist's Circle Of Hell" editorial: a journey through the eyes and thoughts of magnificent Dark Artists.

Today we are delightful to talk with Aleksandra Kisiel. This is how she's describe herself: "I don't do perfect, I only do the best I can. I work on designing my own Tarot Deck, I enjoy illustrating HP Lovecraft stories or old myths and legends but the most of all witchy things " Enjoy the interview!

First circle - Limbo

How old is your soul? Do you have an inner child?

I’m a nameless spirit that fades unseen. I feel much older in my heart than my life span allows, but I never lost childish wonder and imagination.

Second circle - Lust

Before you have reached your artistic path, have you ever instinctively tried different fields that did not appeal to you, just for the sake of it? Are you still in search for your art style?

I was always was drawn to pencils, since I was old enough to hold them in my hand. I tried acrylic and oil painting, even digital, but I can only truly and fully express what I want in pencil.

Third circle - Gluttony

How hungry are you for the art, for your passion? How much are you addicted and addicted to it, moving away from your perception of reality?

I live for it, I crave inspiration, creating it is one of only a few thing that make sense in my life. Sometimes it is not even a matter of choice; sometimes I cannot find peace until I get an idea out of my head on paper.

Fourth circle - Greed

Sometimes, do you feel greedy with your job? Do you think that a strong attachment to money can compromise your art? No intention to offend, but only to explore what goes beyond being a "starving artist".

I do not draw for money. I only draw what and when I am inspired to draw. Drawing for money, means drawing not my ideas, drawing to deadlines, drawing to please others. All three things I tend to avoid as they take away the joy of drawing.

Fifth circle - Anger

How you see the Art World today? There are some stuff that make you uncomfortable?

I do not understand modern art.

Sixth circle - Heresy

Have you ever done a project or commission totally different from your kind of art? (for example, as fairy art, erotic art, fantasy art or comic art)

No, as per point number 4: “Greed”.

Seventh circle - Violence

Are you afraid to represent cruel stuff of the reality in your art? If not, it goes beyond the simple visual impact? There is room for it in art, when it serves the right purpose within a right context. Unless it is done for the sake of it, then it’s pointless. Of course, it’s relative, the lines are blurred, what’s scary or distasteful for one person it is not necessarily so for the other.

Eighth circle - Fraud

Without naming, have you ever been deceived by a false customer or company? What was your initial feeling? Do you want to give some advice to those who are new in this field? Don't worry if you do not want to answer.

There was this time, once, when I have accepted a commission, because the subject matter was what I was drawing all the time anyway. The customer never paid, and ignored me. I found that drawing a year letter. I though, “oh well” and submitted it in my online gallery anyway free for all to see. Since then even if I do agree to draw something for other people, I tell them, it will be ready when its ready, and then they can make a donation, or pay nothing at all. Though I don’t think anyone who hopes to make living as an artist should listen to me.

Ninth circle - Treachery

Would you ever exchange your life as artist with a safer and quieter life? What would you do if you could not make art?

If I could not draw or paint, I would focus 100% on writing my stories, if I could not write stories I would dedicate most time to my witchcraft themed crafts, making dream catchers and wind chimes and such… If I could not create anything at all, I’d better be dead.
